Honor Roll Student's Recognition at the Capital Building in San Juan

This was a great ceremony at the Capital Building in San Juan, PR. The vice-mayor wanted to give recognition to the Senior students who are in the Honor Roll. All of the Seniors from all the High Schools in the Toa Baja area were invited. In this picture is the vice-mayor Betito Marquez (middle) García and one of my good friends/classmate Norberto. I went alone to the ceremony so he wanted to be my escort for this picture.

These are my friends/classmates Norberto (top left), Cristian(top right) and Aurilis my BFF.
The sashes Aurilis and I are wearing are for the students with Academic Excellence :] so yes! we are nerds. Straight A's since 10th grade!

This is my sister! my best friend! ( I have a few) but she is awesome! i love Aileen :) I'm going to miss her so much.

This is me receiving my award, notice the huge picture of me in the back. I don't like to use the word HATE a lot, but I'll say I strongly dislike that picture!
My other best friend Edwin (Aileen's boyfriend) escorted me to the top :). All my friends and classmates are crazy. Since I went alone to the ceremony they all decided to make a lot of noise when my name was called. So as soon as they heard "Kassandra Santiago Amemita" they all jumped off their seats and screamed....haha, good times :]



Okay, did you notice that in the first picture Betito, the vice mayor of Toa Baja, was all suited up for that photo shoot?...and in the last picture he's wearing gym clothes?

He gave us a lesson on humility.
He literally ran into the ceremony room as if he were in a race and he was blowing a whistle lol. He stayed dressed like that for the rest of the ceremony.
He is an amazing person.
